THE SHIP STAGE

In order to show that the stone carving ships ( they are as many in Sweden as about 10.000) were both timecalenders and stages, We built a ship of wood as a stage. We think that plays and Hightide feasts to workship the Sun, the moon the Goddesses, were performed on the stage in order to talk to the Sun, moon, and Goddesses. The Godars and the Gydjas ( priests and priestesses) must have felt that they were in the middle of everything as everybody looked upon the sky and the stars.All people around the Baltic Sea and The North Sea saw the same sky and the same stars. Everybody saw the same thing. Everybody had the same screen and the same references.They really beleived they were in the middle of everything as the were having contact with the Goddesses through the performances on stage on the ships.
It is ease to make a comparison with todays rock concerts.
