HÄRN
Härn is the goddess of flax, which she equips with growing power. Härn draws attention to the great meaningness of flax as a basic material for clothes and other cloth. She is portrayed with a hoe or pickaxe, a token of the kind of farming that took place between nomadic life and settled farming (in other words Horticulture). The hoe tells us that the women gathered 70 % of the tribe's food. The men hunted.
Quite a few towns in Sweden are named after Härn, such as Härnevi, Härnösand, Hörby, Höör and Hörnefors.
