THE TROLLEBORG MAZE

This maze is laid by Mr. John Kraft, one of the leading maze-knowers in the world. He made a "single-8" that means that the maze has eight walls. Some of the mazes do have 16 walls and are called "double-8". The official maze organization is called caerdroia. In Scandinavia and in England you find the highest amount of Trolleborgs ( borg means castle, borogh, and Troll means Trolls). There are many tellings about mazes. That they were made for children to play in or for sailors to walk in to have a safe travel. I'll tell you the story that I like the most. The most beautiful girl in the village stands in the middle of the maze. Then the young men of the village lines up some distance away to run to the maze. The young man who first enters the maze and do not step outside the borders he will win the beautiful girl in the middle. It has to be said that the girl could influence the run because her women friends used to trip the young men with sticks if they did not like the forerunner.
